Rock Climbing in the Yorkshire Dales

The Yorkshire Dales are famous for limestone pavements and crags... join this one day climbing adventure to get hands on with these and reach new heights scaling some of the Dales' best rock climbs.

Suitable for all ability levels, we can cover how to use all the basic equipment, techniques and safety mechanisms associated with climbing. Our aim is to have you climbing as much as possible and walk away feeling that you've really accomplished something awesome!

All the climbing equipment required is provided. ItineraryWhere we meet will be determined by where you are staying and prevailing weather but typically in a cafe in Ingleton at 9.30 am where we can agree a plan and understand your climbing background (or not!).

We'll tailor the day specifically for you and the group so you can pick up new skills and see Yorkshire from new heights. We will then depart for the crag - a few minutes drive away.

What follows will be largely dependent upon your aims and experience, suffice to say we will climb until you need to stop! Usually lunch is a picnic at the base of the crag over looking the beautiful scenery of this stunning part of the world.

The afternoon will go on until 16.00 - or until you have exhausted yourselves! We quite often finish with an abseil - a controlled descent of the rope and a way to put into practice all the new found trust you have in the equipment!

If the listed dates do not meet your schedule please contact us to discuss- other days/half days are available by arrangement to suit your schedule including midweek.<br /><br /> <br /><strong>Inclusions</strong><br /><strong>What's Included</strong><br />🧰 <strong>Equipment</strong> - All safety equipment including ropes, helmets, harnesses are provided.<br /> <br /><strong>What you'll need</strong><br />📋 <strong>Other</strong> - You will need to bring clothing appropriate for climbing - essentially anything sports/active wear based or walking garments. Tracksuit bottoms or 'joggers' are suitable if nothing else is available. If conditions are dry then loose fitting or stretch jeans may be okay. If wet and cold do not bring jeans.

Footwear - trainers, walking shoes/boots or plimsoll type pumps are all acceptable - the key point is they must fit your foot in a snug way and not be loose fitting.

A warm layer is advisable - even in summer as is a waterproof layer and potentially waterproof bottoms.<br />
