Chiltern Hills Challenge

Chiltern Hills

Tour

The Chiltern Hills provide an incredible backdrop for this 2 day trail running adventure! We cover around 18 miles each day and whether you are new to running trails or a veteran, this will be an amazing weekend of running. It's a great opportunity to discover new paths, increase distance, gain experience of multi-day events, and all along paths that wind through beautiful woodland, hidden routes, grass covered ridgelines and through quaint villages. The weekend is fully guided and we take care of everything. The event is not far from London, providing easy access by rail or road and a great way to escape and find your wild! As featured in Runner's World - Top 9 Best Running Holidays in the UK 2019
Included in the weekend, is half board accommodation at an English Country Inn serving fantastic food and a hot breakfast, 2 days of guided trails including trail technique instruction and information about the local area and environment, well stocked checkpoints, finisher's tech t-shirt, bag transportation, inspirational films in the evening and lots of trail running fun!
The Chilterns are just 30 minutes North West of London. Leaving Tring station, accessed by main line rail on Saturday morning you’ll be led as a small team through the country footpaths towards Bledlow. The local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders will show you the way, so you can enjoy the scenery, focus on your running and style. The path winds along a quiet trail through deep woods, grassy ridges and steep hills as well as through hamlets mainly seen in period dramas. 18 miles later and a few hills behind you, it’s time to get to the accommodation for a hot shower, a few drinks and dinner. Unlike races we emphasise the social aspect of our events. There will be plenty of time to chat about your running past and ambitions with your team members. We will also be showing some inspirational films.
Following a good night sleep in a comfortable bed and a hot breakfast, you’ll be ready to take on the second day where we follow a different route back through Chiltern Hills. The trails undulate along grassy outlooks, through beech and oak woods and through more tiny English villages. 36 miles completed and you will be rewarded with a RtW tech shirt.ItineraryMeet at Tring Station around 9am. Have your bags transported on to your destination for the night, a lovely country inn approximately 18miles away. The day takes in some of our favourite trails in the Chiltern, and your experienced run leader will not only navigate, but also provide running technique advice, and information on the local area, flora and fauna. There is a mid way refreshment point with local produce. On reaching your inn for the night there will be videos and talks, aswell as a hearty meal provided.

Inclusions
Accommodation - Comfort
Lovely country inn accommodation, surrounded by fields.

What's Included
🍴 Food - Refreshment point each day, dinner, and full breakfast the next morning.

What you'll need
🍴 Food - Snacks for the run
🥤 Drink - water and hydration drinks for the run
