Learn to Lead Climb

Lead climbing is the ultimate in trad climbing. It is a big step up from climbing indoors and top roping outdoors so it is essential that you get the best instruction before trying this. We use some of the best Mountaineering Instructors in the area to guide you through the skills you need to master this style of climbing. On this 2 day course, we will cover many aspects including lead belaying, bomber gear placements, fall factors, rope and other gear strengths and limitations and how to look after your equipment.<br />The aim is that after 2 days you should have the confidence, skills and capability to start lead climbing independently. At the end of the course we will give you clear feedback on your progress and guidance on your next steps. If you have previously done this course we can run a 1 day refresher course on demand.<br /><em>Please note that we can run this Learn to Lead course most times throughout the year.
