Are you short of time?...for planning for your trip or do you only have a long weekend? Join us for a walk with a difference and we will show you the very best of Exmoor National Park....Exmoor in a nutshell! We know where to find the best views, wildlife, moorland and river valley walking, to suit your abilities and interests . We can even teach you to map read and use a compass, so next time you can confidently guide yourself! Your knowledgeable guide can identify flowers, plants, butterflies and birds to add to your enjoyment, plus a little foraging and fungi as well! We can start the walk from your hotel or guest house, or meet at a number of easy to find carparks on the moor. Lunch at a pub or a homemade,homegrown Exmoor picnic is also an option, or a traditional Devonshire cream tea.ItineraryWe will plan the length and degree of difficulty to suit the ages and ability of your group. We will also adjust the itinerary to suit the weather on the day, in discussion with yourselves so it is important to provide a mobile phone number that you will have with you on the day.<br />National Park Experiences is a curated collection that brings the stories of our National Parks to life. Each experience offers an authentic insight into the landscape and special qualities of a National Park.<br /> <br /><strong>Inclusions</strong><br /><strong>What's Included</strong><br />🍴 <strong>Food</strong> - a homemade cake or flapjack for elevenses.<br />🥤 <strong>Drink</strong> - tea, coffee, hot chocolate or cordial<br />🧰 <strong>Equipment</strong> - We will provide a compass and binoculars, but please also feel free to bring your own. Walking poles are also available, should you wish to borrow them.<br /> <br /><strong>What you'll need</strong><br />🧤 <strong>Warm Clothing</strong> - It is a good idea to wear layers of warm clothing as the wind can be keen up on the tops, but you will warm up well on the hill climbs and the valleys are sheltered<br />☂️ <strong>Waterproofs</strong> - Good quality waterproof tops and trousers will add greatly to your enjoyment, even if they stay in your rucksack most of the time.<br />🥤 <strong>Drink</strong> - Your own water bottle<br />📋 <strong>Other</strong> - Comfortable walking boots or shoes and a small rucksack, which we can lend if requested in advance.<br />
