Clifton Hampden

The picturesque setting of Three Men in a Boat, this stretch of river has a lovely bridge and a great pub, with easy access sandy bays on the east bank. Visitors can take advantage of a long swim by heading down river. The backdrop of wild empty meadows makes for a beautiful view, but visitors should be aware of boats when swimming as this is a very popular stretch of river with Clifton Lock just upstream. Parking available very close at the Barely Mow pub.
