A picturesque footbridge spans a clear, shallow river with grassy banks. The river is never more than 1m deep. This site is claimed to be the spot of the discovery of the first ever dinosaur, which is quite a claim to fame! Visitors can hunt for fossils and also examine an old Roman villa that was built just on the opposite side of Coombe Rd. To access the site you can park at the end of Brook Lane and then walk south along the footpath to the water.
