Located in the heart of the mystical and magical Bodmin Mor lies Dozmary Pool. This is a fresh water lake about a mile in circumference with easy access to the water for swimmers. It’s calm atmosphere makes it a favourite picnic spot within Cornwall’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Some describe the quiet spot as eery, probably due to the strong associations with historical myths and legends, such as the stories of how King Arthur received his sword and the Tregeagle legend of the bottomless lake. Road access possible along a gravel track.
