Excellent water quality

Felixstowe is a resort town and is also home to the country's largest container port on the Orwell Estuary. Felixstowe North is a sand and shingle beach which gently slopes to the sea and is surrounded by a sheltered bay. There is sand at low tide. The beach is backed by a promenade and gardens.

The most recent Environment Agency water quality classification is 'Excellent' , based on samples taken from 2021-05-12 through to 2024-09-18.
